Old industries are being disrupted, new ones are being made 🎳

Welcome to Making Good - Investing Ideas for a Finite Planet by me, Lee Evans. We know the climate crisis is accelerating, and business as usual is unacceptable. At the same time, achieving financial independence has never been more important - and long-term investing in the stock market is proven to be a safe way to do this.

I want to connect these two phenomena, by exploring the sustainability of companies at the head of emerging megatrends in our rapidly-changing world. There are companies just forming, products and services we can only dimly imagine being enabled by the changes going around us in manufacturing, in energy, in food and technology.

These are changes that have to happen to make the planet liveable for the generations to come, but the scale and speed of the changes is creating opportunities for investors of all income levels to build wealth and bring financial independence.

And by acting with the environment and social justice in mind, together we can begin to impose our values on the markets, in the same way that ethical consumption has has held retailers and service accountable for the way they operate.
